At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold, that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for the better.

Reading encouragement Kleinhüningen

the "Book Gang" Kleinhüningen.
The "Book Gang" meets regularly on Wednesdays in Kleinhüningen.

The "Book Gang" meets regularly on Wednesdays for adventuresome excursions, listens to stories, plays out scenes, draws and on the side, practices reading and writing.

When it’s warm outside, the reading encouragement program opens its umbrella on the Ackermätteli and invites children onto the field for stories under the umbrella at Ackermätteli. Story afternoons at the neighborhood meeting point Kleinhüningen, together with the Bläsi library, or perhaps the story tram, are additional doors to the world of reading.

Since the reading promotion brought books to the play group at the neighborhood meeting place and trained the teachers in reading animation, it is now a normal part of the day to day life of the play group.

Reading encouragement Kleinhüningen is a pilot project that the GGG public library put together at the request of the Department of Education after the closing of the neighborhood library. Many methods to promote reading are developed and put into practice there.

With your donation you help the GGG public library continue the reading encouragement Kleinhüningen project.
